SC5D is a diesel fuel additive dosed at 1:2000 in diesel. It atomizes the fuel, improving injector spray quality in combustion chambers and the power generated by the same quality of fuel. Atomization reduces load on Bosch or rotary pump pistons, achieving roughly ½" less maintenance at Bosch pumps. The additive also turns copper strip corrosion negative — diesel with SC5D acts as a rust preventive, protecting fuel lines and tanks from corrosion.
Environment effect: at 1:2000 proportion, exhaust from diesel vehicles can be reduced by 30–50% (depending on service schedule) within a run of 400–500 km, with considerable reduction in SOx and NOx after 450 km. This lowers load on catalytic converters, increasing silencer life by roughly 50%. The data indicates a fuel saving of at least 5% — more than 7 times the cost of the additive, a 1:7 cost-to-benefit ratio — alongside increased vehicle and spare-part life.
